Pauli Loeffler, OBA Compliance Team


Pauli Loeffler attended the University of Oklahoma, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1979, and a Juris Doctorate in 1982. While in law school, Pauli was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, served as the editor-in-chief of the weekly Law School News Letter and interned for the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office. Following graduation from law school, Loeffler joined the family law firm of Loeffler & Allen where her practice emphasized title examination for title insurance, contracts and probate.

In January 1988, Pauli became the estate administrator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. After moving to Edmond, Okla., in 1989, she joined the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in its Oklahoma City Field Office as a staff attorney in the bankruptcy section. From June 2004 until January 2011, Pauli served as assistant general counsel for the Oklahoma Bankers Association responding to a multitude of legal and compliance questions from the Association’s 250 member banks. In January 2011, Pauli became senior legal liaison, Bankers Online.

Mary Beth Guard, OBA Compliance Team


Mary Beth Guard is executive editor of and CEO of Glia Group, Inc.. In a career spanning more than two and a half decades, she has gained a national reputation as a banking attorney, speaker, writer and Internet expert.

Prior to her work with Glia Group, Inc. and, Mary Beth served as EVP/Specialized Services for Thomson Financial Publishing, EVP/General Counsel/COO for the Oklahoma Bankers Association, and general counsel for the Oklahoma State Banking Department. Mary Beth continues to maintain a heavy speaking schedule. In addition to her speeches, she has also entertained audiences nationwide with magic performances and is an active member of the Society of American Magicians.
