OBA Convention set for mid-May

The Oklahoma Bankers Association 2022 Convention is set for May 18-20 in Oklahoma City, with the Omni Hotel as the host locale.

This year’s convention will feature a 1980s theme (OB80s) as we look back on the decade punctuated by garish clothes, fun music and angst-filled movies about teenagers!

Things will start in typical fashion on Wednesday, May 18, with the Convention Golf Tournament in the early afternoon. This year’s tournament will be held at The Golf Club of Edmond.
Afterward will be a Emerging Leaders reception at The Omni.

The convention truly gets going the next morning, however, as there will be the usual recognition of the OBA Board of Directors and graduating class of the 2021-22 Emerging Leaders Academy.
Breakout sessions will fill the rest of Thursday morning and afternoon, with the Annual Business Luncheon taking place between.

The day will end with a 1980s-themed reception, followed by a Throwback Thursday evening of fun at Flasback Retropub, located few blocks from The Omni.

The final day of convention gets into swing on Friday morning, and will feature the PULSE sessions, which allow three bankers a short opportunity to give a presentation on the topic of their choice.
The convention will wrap up with the annual Awards Brunch, where new 50-Year Club Members will be recognized.
