OBA education corner …

Congratulations to the Oklahoma Sooners baseball team and their 2026 Men’s College World Series championship win. It was a thrilling to watch — even for those of us who bleed orange.

Check out the OBA’s current education offerings:

  • Flood Insurance Overview, July 2, webinar — Flood insurance compliance remains a persistent challenge, as reflected in examination findings and civil money penalties issued by regulatory agencies.
  • Processing Garnishments on Accounts Containing Federal Benefits Payments, July 8, webinar — This webinar provides participants with the federal rules that are applicable when processing garnishments on deposit accounts receiving federal benefit payments.
  • 2026 Opening New Accounts, Documentation & Compliance SeminarsAug. 12-TulsaAug. 13-Oklahoma City — Unfortunately, new account personnel are too often trained “on the job,” which results in an environment of potential vulnerability and unnecessary losses for the bank. This full-day program is one of the country’s most comprehensive seminars on opening deposit accounts.
