Every spring, the OBA welcomes bankers to join us for a firsthand look at the legislative process.
During their February session this year, the current Emerging Leaders Academy started their day with Commissioner Mick Thompson (above left) before hearing from Speaker Kyle Hilbert, Senate Appropriations Chair (and fellow banker) Chuck Hall and several of their respective legislators, including Sen. Carri Hicks, pictured above at right with her constituents Mason Root (First Liberty Bank) and Sueanna Henderson (Stride Bank).
On March 3, the OBA’s Scott Thompson (standing at left) kicked off our first Contact Banker with a briefing on issues important to our industry as well as other hot topics this legislative session.
