This is the 53rd year of the Oklahoma Bankers Association’s Intermediate School of Banking, the oldest of the OBA’s
formal banking schools.
Presented in two sessions, the school is designed to prepare students to serve effectively and profitably the needs
and desires of their banks and the banking public. A major objective of the program is to instill an appreciation for and
an understanding of the operations and interrelationships of departments within a bank.
Participation in this general banking school will provide an excellent background for those who plan to attend an
OBA functional school—Consumer Lending, Operations, Commercial Lending or Compliance. Graduate banking school
candidates are strongly encouraged to attend.
“The OBA Intermediate School was truly a worthwhile endeavor. The curriculum was varied and offered extremely relevant topics. The
instructors were well versed in their chosen topics and brought a lot of real-world experience to the school. Truly a beneficial course for
any individual who wants to further develop themselves for a career in banking!”
– Trey Graham, Chickasaw Community Bank, Oklahoma City, OK
“Taking the OBA’s Intermediate Banking School was a huge stepping stone in my career! The staff and faculty for the school are top
notch. I have been able to take many lessons from the course and apply them in my daily work. The subject material is relevant and
resourceful across every job field and experience level in banking. Additionally, I had the opportunity to network with peers statewide
and created friendships that will last throughout our careers!”
