OBA files comment letter on Basel III

The OBA filed a comment letter Friday, Oct. 12, on behalf of its 233 member institutions to the banking regulatory agencies regarding the Basel III proposals.

The letter stated the proposals "will have a negative impact on the ability of community banks to serve their customers and their communities."

It also went on to outline the OBA's positions and explain, in detail, the thought process behind those positions.
