According to ABA's President and CEO Frank Keating, Dodd-Frank Act regulations threaten the survival of many community banks and the towns they serve. Keating also explains the potential Dodd-Frank regs have to hurt or destroy some small-bank business models.
Keating is concerned with what the Consumer Financial Protectiong Bureau is going to do in the fair-lending space, and what they are going to do in terms of the overdraft fees as well as other things that relate to some small banks' business models.
