American Bankers Association committee foresees improved economy

Improving U.S. economic and employment growth are what's in the crystal ball of the Economic Advisory Committee of the American Bankers Association.

The Committee, which includes several economists from the largest banks in the country, predicts that inflation-adjusted GDP growth will rise to near 3 percent in the second half of this year and into 2012.

The economists also see more than 2 million jobs to be created this year – a figure that doubles the amount last year. And they also see even more job creation in 2012.
